Brazoria County is located along the Texas Gulf Coast and is part of the greater Houston area. The region is rapidly growing with a population increase of nearly 30% between 2000 and 2010 and an increase of almost 20% between 2010 and 2019.
As the population has grown, it has also become more diverse, with an increase in minority populations.

The Brazoria county labor force has grown alongside the population. The majority of residents are of working age (18 - 64) with the largest concentration in the 35 - 54 age bracket and a median age of 35. 87.9% of Brazoria County residents 25+ are high school graduates or higher and 30% hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher. The median household income is significantly higher than the State of Texas Average, by nearly $20,000, which is projected to continue to increase.
